Why Choose a Travel Advisor?
You can. And for a weekend away, you probably should.
But for the trips that actually matter, the honeymoon, the safari, the anniversary, the holiday your family will talk about for the next twenty years, the question is not whether you are capable of booking it yourself. It is whether doing so is the best use of your time, and whether you will end up with the best possible version of that trip.
The internet gives you options. We give you answers. There is a difference, and you will feel it the moment you arrive at a hotel that was better than you expected, at a table that was not supposed to be available, in a room that faces exactly the right direction.
No. In many cases, the price is the same as booking direct, and sometimes the value is even better once preferred partner perks, hotel credits, breakfast, upgrades when available, and added amenities are factored in.
The commission is often already built into the price whether you book through SEROCCO or not. If you book on your own, the hotel or supplier usually keeps that margin anyway, and you simply give up the guidance, advocacy, perks, and service that could have come with it. For more complex trips, a planning fee may also apply, but that is always explained upfront so you know exactly what you are paying for and why.
Better judgment, better access, and someone in your corner when things do not go to plan. Through SEROCCO's partnership with Fora, clients benefit from access to 8,200 plus global travel partners and leading preferred partner programs that can unlock treatment and perks most travelers do not get on their own.
Usually no. Preferred partner perks are typically tied to bookings made through approved advisor networks, and direct bookings usually do not include the same level of recognition, advocacy, or added value.
Booking & Process
It starts with a conversation. The goal is to understand how the client likes to travel, what matters most, and what kind of experience is being imagined. From there, the itinerary is built, refined together, and fully coordinated from booking to final details.
For complex or destination specific trips, such as safaris, the Maldives, peak season Europe, or Japan during cherry blossom season, three to six months ahead is ideal. For simpler trips, four to six weeks is usually sufficient. That said, we have put together remarkable last minute journeys when the timing was right. Reach out and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Not at all. Some of our best trips begin with one simple feeling: “I just need to get away.” Tell us your budget, how you like to travel, and how much time you have, and we will come back with options you may not have considered.
Yes. Support can be provided for a full itinerary or for selected elements such as hotels, flights, transfers, or special experiences.
Yes. Family trips, celebrations, honeymoons, anniversaries, friend groups, and other multi traveler itineraries can all be arranged. Group travel is often where expert coordination matters most.
Pricing & Fees
Depending on the scope and complexity of your trip, we either charge a planning fee, earn a commission from our supplier partners, or a combination of both. The structure is always explained clearly before any work begins.
A planning fee may apply when a trip requires deeper research, more customization, multiple moving parts, or a higher level of advisory work. This covers the time, strategy, and curation behind building the trip properly, not just placing a booking. If a planning fee applies, it is always explained upfront before any work begins.
SEROCCO works best with clients who see travel as an investment in their life, not simply a charge on a card. We value clients who care about quality, ease, and thoughtful planning, because that is where our work creates the most difference. If you share your budget honestly, we will tell you clearly what is realistic and whether we are the right fit.
Planning fees cover research, curation, and advisory work, so they are generally non refundable once work has started. Exact terms should always be confirmed before the trip planning process begins.
Hotel Perks & Fora Access
Fora is one of the most respected travel networks in the industry. Through that partnership, SEROCCO clients benefit from exclusive access, preferred treatment, and added value at many top properties.
Preferred partner programs are private hotel networks reserved for trusted travel advisors. Through this access, clients may receive upgrades when available, breakfast at select properties, hotel credits, welcome amenities, early check in, late check out, and VIP recognition on arrival.
SEROCCO's network access includes programs such as Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Hilton Impresario, Hyatt Privé, IHG Luxury and Lifestyle, and Virtuoso, among others.
No. Upgrades and certain perks are always subject to availability. What advisor access improves is the likelihood of recognition, stronger advocacy, and a better overall booking position.
No. Preferred partner perks are not paid add ons. They come through the advisor relationship and hotel network access behind the booking.
Changes, Support & Travel Issues
SEROCCO steps in to help. Because the itinerary, preferences, and booking details are already known, solutions can be worked on quickly. That matters most when something goes wrong at the worst possible time.
Yes. That support is one of the core reasons to use a travel advisor in the first place. Instead of facing a queue, a chatbot, or a generic reservation line alone, there is already someone who understands the booking and can advocate on the traveler's behalf.
Often yes, but it depends on the hotel, airline, or supplier terms attached to the reservation. Change fees, fare rules, and cancellation conditions vary, so those details should always be reviewed before confirmation.
Yes, guidance can be given on the type of coverage that makes sense for a trip. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, even though it is not sold directly through SEROCCO.
Practical Questions
Yes. SEROCCO works with clients internationally, and service can be handled remotely through WhatsApp, email, and video call.
SEROCCO is built around curated, high touch travel and custom itineraries, with a strong luxury focus and an emphasis on thoughtful, experience led planning.
Guidance can be given, but travelers are ultimately responsible for making sure passports, visas, and entry requirements are correct for their trip. Those details should always be checked carefully before departure.
The easiest way is to get in touch directly and share where the trip might go, how many people are traveling, and roughly when. That is enough to begin the conversation.
That is welcome. The best trips usually start with questions that do not fit neatly into a template.
